February Reveal

I have really loved all my kits from SSZ but February's kit 'Classically Charming' featuring Jenni Bowlin had to be one of my favourites. All of the Jenni Bowlin papers in this kit are gorgeous and the embellishments were so easy to work with. Here's what I did with the kit -

I can't wait for the new Jenni Bowlin to be available...I'm sure I'll be adding it to my stash!!

Yes, I know I've been an extremely horrible blogger, but I'm going to try to get back on track this month!

I've had a busy week preparing for the Retail Recovery Crop over at SSZ. The forum and gallery are really hopping so drop by if you have a chance. Sandy is also doing one of her legendary 'Give Back' challenges. All you have to do is create a layout or card with hearts and for every creation she is donating $5 to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. What a terrific cause to support!

The DT team has been hard at work thinking of challenges to go with the retail theme. You can see them all here.

My challenges correspond with the stores Eddie Bauer and Home Depot. For the Eddie Bauer challenge, all you have to do is incorporate a name into your layout.

The Home Depot challenge is all about creating a challenge based on renovations or new home projects you have done or would like to do.

I sure hope you can join us sometime this weekend. I'll be back tomorrow with the February Jenni Bowlin kit reveal. I loved working with this one - what's not to love about Jenni Bowlin...everything in the kit is just scrumptious!!

December DT Challenge

December is such a busy month that the DT decided to do the monthly challenges a little different over at Scrap Shotz. Instead of having a bunch of challenges, there is only one! A layout and a card sketch is posted here and here, and each DT member has posted their interpretation. These are mine:

For my layout I used the new 'Life at the Pole' papers from Sassafras and the card is mostly made up of Basic Grey's Wassail. Both are yummy!!

If you participate in the skech challenge, you are in the running for a $20 gift card from the store, plus each DT member will send you a little goody in the mail. Definitely worth playing for I'd say!! I hope that you'll give it a try.

December Kit!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've blogged...not off to a good start here!!

Well, the first of the month is always 'reveal day' over at Scrap Shotz and the December kit is just fabulous. It's called Frosty Holidays and it's just full of goodness...paper from the SEI Alpine Frost line, Prima trees and a velvet gate, Maya Road velvet blossoms, Making Memories pebble brads and glittery letters, new stickles...YUM!!

November Kit

It was reveal day yesterday at Scrap Shotz and the November Kit is composed of the Prudence line from Crate Paper. This kit is just full of goodies and it was so easy to work with. The colors are simply gorgeous and the patterns are so versatile. Here's what I created -

The excitement level at my household is extremely high - the pumpkins are carved, the costumes and candy are ready, and the kids can't wait until night time to start collecting the goods. I'm hoping that they bring home a lot of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in their stash - mommy has dibs on those!!

Here's a little card I made for the Scrap Shotz on-line crop a couple weeks ago. It's an interactive sliding card. The haunted house can move up and down. Very fun and easy to make - the instructions are in the forum if you'd like them.

We're just wrapping up an amazing on-line crop over at Scrap Shotz. If you haven't had a chance to check out some of the challenges, you must do so. They're all in the on-line crop forum and there's such a variety. If you're in a rut or just need some inspiration, definitely go take a peek. Here's some of the layouts I created over the weekend.

Also, the November Crate kit will be revealed tonight, along with some fabulous add-ons. Let me just say that this kit is GORGEOUS! Nonie is hosting Scrappy Hour as well - can't wait to see what little project she has in store for us. Lots going on over at Scrap Shotz that's for sure. Hope you can come join us!!

Well, this is something new for me...something I never thought I'd do. But I had so much fun hosting the blog over at Scrap Shotz a few weeks ago, I decided to create my own. This is going to be my little space to share my scrapbooking ideas and creations, and to record my thoughts. I have to say I'm kind of excited about this little endeavor, but you may have to bare with me as I figure out how this all works!
